Employees flag poor implementation of well-being policies at workplaces: Report

A new report says many workers are stressed even when their company has a well-being policy.

The report found that 42 out of 100 employees think their employers do not actually put the policy into practice.

Many workers say having to be available all the time is their biggest cause of stress.

Others said unrealistic deadlines make them stressed.

The report also found that workers feel best when they are trusted and empowered.

Feeling trusted mattered most for well-being, with 52 out of 100 employees choosing it.

Manager behaviour is very important, as 47 per cent said kind and understanding managers would help them talk about burnout.

Being recognised for good work also helps, with 37 per cent saying it has the strongest positive impact.

The report is based on answers from 1,884 employees and was made by Genius HRTech and DigiPoll.
