India Clears Pakistan Mission Encroachments After Islamabad Pole Removal
Authorities in New Delhi removed structures outside Pakistan’s diplomatic mission.
They said the structures were outside the mission’s official boundary.
The removal happened after Pakistan took away parking poles outside India’s mission in Islamabad.
This shows how the two countries often respond to each other with similar actions.
India and Pakistan have had very difficult relations for many years.
A deadly attack in Pahalgam in April 2025 was followed by India’s Operation Sindoor.
Since then, trade and much formal diplomacy have stopped or been sharply limited.
Both countries’ diplomatic missions are working with fewer staff.
Authorities in New Delhi removed unauthorised structures and encroachments outside the Pakistan High Commission.
The structures were near the mission’s visa section and outside its designated perimeter.
The action followed Pakistan’s removal of parking poles outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
The reciprocal steps come amid severely strained India-Pakistan relations and frozen formal diplomacy.
Trade remains suspended, the main land crossing is closed, and both missions operate with reduced staff.
