Nagpur Man Dies After Crowd Beating Over Child Assault Allegation
Police said a nine-year-old girl was playing near her home in Nagpur.
They allege that a 35-year-old man took her to his nearby home and sexually assaulted her.
The girl later told her family what had happened.
After people in the neighborhood heard about the allegation, a large group attacked the man.
He was badly injured and taken to Mayo Hospital.
He later died there.
Police had registered a case against him under laws that cover crimes and sexual offenses against children.
