Labour Party Joins Jamaat-led Alliance in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, the Labour Party has joined a big group of political parties led by Jamaat-e-Islami.
This group is getting ready for an important election on February 12.
The Labour Party thinks that the country needs big changes, not just a new leader.
Now, the group has 11 parties.
But recently, another party called Islamic Movement Bangladesh left the group.
They said they didn't get fair treatment and felt the group wasn't following Islamic ideas.
The main leader in Bangladesh right now is the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), which is led by former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
The parties in this group are working together to get more votes, even though they don't always agree on everything.
Bangladesh Labour Party joins Jamaat-e-Islami-led electoral alliance ahead of February 12 election.
Alliance now comprises 11 parties after Labour Party's inclusion.
Islamic Movement Bangladesh exited the alliance citing unfair seat allocations and deviation from Islamic ideals.
Labour Party aims for meaningful transformation of the state, not just a change in power.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is the frontrunner in the current political landscape.
