ISRO's Third Launch Pad for Gaganyaan by 2028
ISRO, India's space agency, is building a new launchpad to send astronauts and big satellites into space!
This new launchpad will be ready by September 2028.
It's like a special platform to launch rockets for the Gaganyaan mission, which will send Indian astronauts to space.
The launchpad will also help launch bigger rockets and act as a backup.
ISRO will work with other Indian companies to build this important launchpad.
ISRO's third launch pad (TLP) is targeted for completion by September 2028.
The TLP will support the Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission and other heavy satellites.
Financial approval for the project was granted in March 2025.
Civil works are expected to be completed by May 2028, with launch pad facilities ready by September 2028.
ISRO will partner with Indian private players for the project.
