Telangana Education Campaign Seeks Stronger Government Schools, Fee Regulation

The Telangana People’s Front held a meeting about education in Khammam.

People at the meeting wanted government schools to become better.

They said schools need enough teachers, facilities and good learning conditions.

Better public schools could give families a cheaper choice than private schools.

Speakers also wanted rules to control fees at private schools and junior colleges.

The group is traveling through Telangana as part of an Education Bus Yatra.

The journey began in Hyderabad on September 15.

It is scheduled to continue until September 27 across ten districts.

The group also wants education to receive 18% of the state budget.
