His teacher, who passed away in 1991, lived there.
The police are looking into what happened.
Baba Yogi Mauj Nath was assaulted by a group of men over a dispute about the Gorakhnath Ashram's possession.
The incident occurred near the CM Rise School in Jawad, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh.
Nath alleged that Mohan Kumar, Gajendra Sharma, and 10-12 others forcibly entered the ashram and assaulted him with sticks and iron pipes.
