JSW Soorma wins first match

JSW Soorma Hockey Club won their first match in the Men's Hockey India League 2026.

They beat HIL Governing Council 3-1 in Ranchi.

Harmanpreet Singh, the captain, scored two goals, and Gurjant Singh scored one.

Kane Russell scored the only goal for HIL GC.

Despite losing, HIL GC remains in the top two of the points table.

JSW Soorma started strong and scored a penalty corner in the first quarter.

HIL GC tried to come back but couldn't score.

Gurjant Singh had a great shot that made the score 2-0.

Kane Russell got a green card for a hard tackle.

JSW Soorma won the match.
