Vishnu Manchu on 8-Hour Workdays for Actors
There's a conversation in the Indian film world about how long actors should work each day.
Some stars, like Deepika Padukone, are asking for 8-hour workdays, possibly because she is a new mother.
Actor Vishnu Manchu shared his experience with Akshay Kumar who worked an 8-hour shift on the movie Kannappa and said that it can work if everyone agrees in advance.
This has caused disagreement about the practice of 8-hour workdays.
Vishnu Manchu commented on Deepika Padukone's reported 8-hour workday request.
Padukone's request for shorter workdays reportedly led to her exit from a film.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's social media posts intensified the debate.
Vishnu Manchu referenced Akshay Kumar's 8-hour work on 'Kannappa' as an example.
