MSME Survey: Skill Programs Ineffective, Infrastructure Boosts Capex
Imagine lots of small businesses called MSMEs.
A study showed many of them don't think the government's programs to teach people new skills are very good.
They also think that the government's spending on things like roads and buildings is helping them plan for the future.
But, MSMEs face problems such as high costs for delivering goods and not having enough skilled workers.
They need better places to store things and training to do well.
A majority of MSMEs surveyed found government skill programs ineffective.
71% of manufacturing MSMEs stated that government-run skill-training programs were not helpful.
88% of respondents agreed that government infrastructure spending influenced their capex plans.
93% of respondents reported better operating efficiency and profitability with modern infrastructure.
Challenges include high logistics costs and skill gaps for MSMEs, threatening competitiveness.
