AAP Approves Free Shows of 'Humare Ram' in Punjab

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab has decided to stage 40 free shows of a play called 'Humare Ram,' which is about the Ramayana.

The play stars actor Ashutosh Rana.

The AAP government is doing this to connect with Hindu voters in the state, as Hindus make up about 38% of Punjab's population.

The party has been trying to expand its support among Hindus, who are mostly in cities like Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and Patiala.

The AAP has also made other moves to appeal to Hindus, such as appointing a Hindu leader and supporting Hindu welfare boards.

The party says these efforts are to promote cultural heritage and social harmony, but some see it as a way to counter the growing support for the BJP among Hindus.
