Trailer Owners Strike Disrupts Chennai Ports
A group of trailer owners went on strike starting December 10, 2025.
They stopped moving containers to and from the ports in Chennai, Katupalli, and Ennore.
The strike is because the government increased the fees for checking if older vehicles are safe to use.
Some other transport groups are not joining the strike, but they are scared to move containers because of threats.
The strike is causing delays and extra costs for businesses that use the ports.
