Netanyahu Honors Trump with Israel Prize
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel announced that President Donald Trump of the United States will receive the Israel Prize, which is the highest civilian honor in Israel.
This is a big deal because the prize has never been given to someone who is not an Israeli citizen before.
Netanyahu said that Trump has done a lot to help Israel and the Jewish people, and this award is a way to say thank you.
The award will be given on Israel's Independence Day, and Netanyahu invited Trump to come to Israel for the ceremony.
Trump said he was very honored to receive the award and thanked Netanyahu for their friendship.
Both leaders talked about how they work well together and agree on many important things, like security and peace in the Middle East.
They also discussed the Gaza peace plan and Trump's support for Netanyahu's pardon in an ongoing corruption case.
However, the Israeli President's office said there has been no conversation about the pardon, and any decision will follow standard legal procedures.
