Ujjivan SFB Shares Fall After Q1 Results Show Profit Decline
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank's profits went down a lot this past quarter.
The bank made less money than it did last year, and it set aside more money to cover potential losses.
This led to a significant drop in the bank's profits.
Even though the bank's overall loans grew, its income from interest decreased.
Additionally, a larger percentage of the bank's loans are now considered at risk of not being paid back.
The bank's stock price also decreased after the results were announced.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank's (SFB) shares fell 4% after Q1 results.
Profit After Tax (PAT) dropped 66% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 103 crore.
Provisions for the quarter increased to Rs 224.94 crore.
Net Interest Income (NII) decreased 9% YoY to Rs 856 crore.
