Magnolia Pictures Acquires Horror-Thriller 'The Shepherd'

Imagine a scary movie where a woman is running from her ex and hitches a ride with a stranger.

This stranger has a hidden cargo in the back of his car that he must protect.

David Dastmalchian and Georgina Campbell are the stars.

The movie is called 'The Shepherd', and it's being made by the same people who made 'It' and 'Insidious'.

Magnolia Pictures bought the rights to show it in the U.S. They plan to show it in theaters next year.

The film is directed by John Hyams, and the story is by Alexander Gustaveson.
