U.S. House to Vote on 2026 NDAA
The U.S. House of Representatives is going to vote on a very big and important bill called the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act.
This bill is about $1 trillion and includes many things.
It gives money to help Ukraine fight, supports countries like Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, and helps Taiwan prepare for any problems with China.
It also gives U.S. soldiers a pay raise and includes some rules about sports and medical treatments.
The bill is important because it helps keep the country and its allies safe and supports the military.
The U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a $1 trillion bill.
The NDAA includes $400 billion for Ukraine and $175 million for the Baltic Security Initiative.
The bill fully funds the Taiwan Security Cooperation Initiative at $1 billion and authorizes $1.5 billion in new security assistance for the Philippines.
It includes a 4% pay raise for all service members and extends efforts to improve childcare and military housing.
The NDAA bars transgender women from participating in athletic programs designated for women at U.S. military academies but does not include a ban on Defense Department-funding for gender-related medical treatment.
