Keralam Streamlines Medicine Supply to Government Hospitals

Keralam’s health minister says government hospitals are working to get medicines more smoothly.

Officials reviewed supplies of important medicines, including life-saving drugs and antibiotics.

Medicines are supposed to move from district stores to health centres without delay.

Some medicines for cancer, heart problems and mental health may take a little longer to become fully available.

Until then, hospitals have been asked to buy those medicines locally.

Officials were also told to check stocks and make sure haemophilia patients can get Factor IX.

The meeting also covered efforts against diseases such as dengue and leptospirosis, specialist services and the 108 ambulance service.
