BRO Restores Critical Roads in J-K
The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been working hard to clear snow from two important roads in Jammu & Kashmir.
One road, called the Kishtwar-Sansari road, connects two states and is very important for moving food, other important things, and for people to go to the doctor or school.
The BRO worked for three days to clear more than 3 feet of snow from this road.
The other road, called the Pahalgam-Chandanwari road, is the gateway to the Amarnath Yatra, a very special place for pilgrims.
The BRO is clearing snow from this road to help security forces keep the area safe.
Both roads are very important for the people who live there and for the safety of the region.
The BRO restored the 112 km Kishtwar-Sansari road, reconnecting Jammu & Kashmir's Chenab Valley with Himachal Pradesh.
The BRO began snow clearance operations on the 17 km Pahalgam-Chandanwari road, the gateway to the Amarnath Yatra route, to ensure connectivity for security forces.
The Kishtwar-Sansari road, which reaches a height of 8,759 feet, is crucial for transporting essential commodities and agricultural produce.
Heavy snowfall blocked the Kishtwar-Sansari road, but the BRO cleared 3.5 feet of snow in a 72-hour operation.
The BRO praised the dedication and resilience of the 118 RCC personnel who worked in extreme weather conditions to restore the Kishtwar-Sansari road.
