Pimpri-Chinchwad Launches 2026-27 Participatory Budget
The city of Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC) is letting its residents decide how to spend some of the city's money again.
Starting on August 15, people can suggest how 10% of the property tax money in their area should be used.
Last year, many resident ideas were turned into real projects, such as new roads and footpaths.
The city does this because it believes it helps make the community better by using money where people need it the most.
PCMC will launch the 2026-27 Participatory Budget on August 15.
Residents will decide how 10% of their property tax revenue is used.
The previous year's initiative funded projects based on resident suggestions.
Examples include new roads, footpaths, and infrastructure upgrades.
The program allows residents to see their ideas become reality.
