The Taj Story Nears ₹20 Crore Amidst Controversies
A movie called 'The Taj Story,' starring Paresh Rawal, is about a tour guide who questions the history of the Taj Mahal, suggesting it was once a Shiva temple.
This idea caused some people to file a lawsuit, but the movie was still allowed to be shown in theaters.
It started a bit slow but has been earning money steadily, getting close to 20 crore rupees.
Even though some people found the story controversial, others are going to see it.
Paresh Rawal's other movies have made a lot more money, but this one is still becoming one of his top-grossing films.
The movie is getting the most attention in Chennai.
The Taj Story has sustained box office collections and is nearing ₹20 crore.
The film's premise challenges Taj Mahal's history, claiming it was a Shiva temple, which led to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
Despite controversies, the film was permitted to release with disclaimers after its storyline's authenticity couldn't be established in court.
The movie is on track to become Paresh Rawal's fifth highest-grossing film.
