Harmanpreet and Fatima lead women’s India-Pakistan rivalry in Dubai

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain India against Fatima Sana’s Pakistan in Dubai.

The match is especially important because India and Pakistan do not regularly play bilateral cricket at home.

Their teams now usually meet at neutral venues.

Women’s India-Pakistan cricket has attracted a much larger audience than before.

A 2025 match was watched by 28.4 million people.

Harmanpreet grew up in Moga and had to overcome a lack of money and cricket facilities.

Fatima has also had to lead a team with fewer resources and more obstacles.

Both captains show that women can play and lead at the highest level.

Their match also gives broadcasters and advertisers evidence that women’s cricket has a large audience.
