OBC Bahujan Aghadi to Contest Local Body Polls
The OBC Bahujan Aghadi Party in Maharashtra has decided to contest the upcoming local body elections to protect the OBC reservation.
The party's leader, Prakash Shendge, claims that the OBC quota has been misused by certain communities using fake certificates.
He also alleges that the government has been reducing the OBC reservation over the past few years.
The party plans to field candidates in both reserved and open categories and support like-minded parties where they have fewer candidates.
Shendge emphasizes that the OBCs, Dalits, and Muslim OBCs can form a strong vote bank and that the party will not allow the dilution of the OBC quota, although they support the demand for Maratha reservation.
