Karnataka Supports Pole Vault Star for Asian Games

Sindhushree Ganesh is a pole vault athlete from Karnataka who will represent India at the Asian Games in Japan.

The Karnataka government, led by Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara, is providing her with international-standard equipment and financial aid to support her training.

Sindhushree comes from an underprivileged background and was encouraged by sports enthusiasts to pursue her talent.

Her father, who was a daily-wage laborer, dreamt of her becoming an athlete.

Despite her father's passing, Sindhushree has fulfilled his dream with the support of her mother and the government.

She is trained by the Sports Authority of India and has qualified for the Asian Games.
