Selection Tests for Group C and D Candidates Before Model Code
The School Service Commission wants to hold tests to pick new non-teaching staff for government-aided schools before the rules for elections start.
They plan to do this in late February or early March.
Many people applied for these jobs, but some were not allowed because they were part of a bad hiring process in 2016.
The tests were delayed because of court cases about teacher hiring.
The commission wants to finish these tests before the election rules begin, so everything is fair and on time.
The School Service Commission plans to hold selection tests for non-teaching posts in government-aided schools before the model code of conduct for Assembly elections.
The tests are scheduled for late February or early March, pending state government approval.
Around 16 lakh candidates applied for these posts, with 3,512 tainted staff excluded from applying.
The tests were delayed due to court cases challenging the recruitment rules for teachers.
The Supreme Court dismissed 9,542 Group C and D staff in 2025, citing a tainted recruitment process in 2016.
