Ram Mohan Naidu Leads Tiranga Yatra, Honours Freedom Fighters' Sacrifices
The Indian flag is called the Tiranga.
A government leader named Ram Mohan Naidu took part in a special walk called a Tiranga Yatra.
The walk started at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan in New Delhi.
He said we must remember and respect the brave people who fought for India's freedom.
Those freedom fighters helped India become an independent country.
The walk is part of a campaign called 'Har Ghar Tiranga,' which means 'Tiranga in every home.'
The campaign wants every family to bring the Indian flag home and hoist it proudly.
This year's theme is 'Vande Mataram,' a famous patriotic song.
India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, also asked everyone to join the campaign.
He said the flag is our pride and a constant source of inspiration.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu led a Tiranga Yatra from Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday.
Naidu said it is citizens' responsibility to respect the sacrifices and struggles of freedom fighters during the Independence movement.
He credited 12 years of development under the Prime Minister's leadership and said even a common citizen can now fly with pride.
PM Narendra Modi had urged citizens on August 9 to join the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, calling the Tricolour 'pride' and a 'source of inspiration'.
