Apple to add more ads to App Store
Apple is going to show more ads in the App Store.
Right now, when you search for an app, there's only one ad at the top.
Starting in March 2026, there will be more ads, not just at the top but also further down in the search results.
This will happen first in the UK and Japan, and then in other countries by the end of March.
Apple says this will help developers get more downloads for their apps.
It will also make more money for Apple from these ads.
You don't have to do anything special if you're running ads; they'll automatically be shown in these new spots.
Apple will introduce additional ad slots in the App Store starting March 2026.
The new ads will appear at the top and further down in search results.
The rollout begins in the UK and Japan, followed by global expansion by the end of March 2026.
Developers' existing ad campaigns will automatically be eligible for the new ad positions.
The move aims to increase download opportunities for developers and generate more advertising revenue for Apple.
