School Awards Ceremony Celebrates Courage and Camaraderie in 31st Year
A school awards ceremony is beginning its 31st year.
It celebrates more than just high exam scores.
Students are recognized for being brave, helpful and determined.
Parents and teachers are also honoured for supporting children.
Some schools are praised for helping their communities and the environment.
More than 2,000 certificates will be given out.
The event will take place in two parts because many people are attending.
Its final celebration will be held on August 29.
The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence is entering its 31st year.
The inaugural 2026 ceremony will be held on Saturday at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre in Salt Lake.
More than 2,000 certificates will be presented to students, teachers, parents and schools.
The awards recognize courage, generosity, camaraderie, grit and community commitment beyond academic marks.
The ceremony’s finale is scheduled for August 29 at the Dhono Dhanyo auditorium.
