Karnataka Home Department Exempted From Fuel Tender Process
Imagine the government needs gas for fire trucks and other important vehicles.
Usually, they have to ask different companies to offer them the best deal.
But, the Karnataka government has decided to let the Home Department buy fuel directly from one company without asking for bids.
This is because it has been allowed through an exemption to help with its vehicles.
The government gave permission to buy fuel, lubricants, and other items without going through the usual bidding process.
This allows the department to quickly get the fuel it needs.
However, they still have to ensure they are getting a fair price for the fuel.
