Bessemer launches hackathon to connect engineering talent with AI startups

A big company that helps new businesses grow, called Bessemer Venture Partners, is putting on a special contest called a hackathon.

A hackathon is a fun event where people who love computers and technology work together to solve problems.

The contest is happening in a big city in India called Bengaluru on September 5.

Anyone who wants to join has to sign up before August 16.

Four of Bessemer's companies — Aivar, dCortex, MoveInSync and TBX — will give the contestants real problems to solve.

The problems are about things like computer helpers that talk to people, airlines, office transportation and banking tools.

If a team wins, it can share a prize of 7 lakh rupees, which is a lot of money.

There are also special awards for individual people who do a great job.

Another company called Sarvam will host a fun quick round where people can win more prizes.

The people running the event hope it helps smart engineers and the companies find each other.
