Rajasthan Raises Minimum Work Age
In Rajasthan, India, the government has changed the rules about young people working in shops, hotels, and restaurants.
Before, kids as young as 12 could work, but now the minimum age is 14.
Also, teenagers between 14 and 18 can't work at night and can only work for 3 hours a day.
These new rules started right away after the Governor said it was okay.
The goal is to keep young people safe from being overworked or treated unfairly.
Rajasthan raises the minimum work age from 12 to 14 years for shops, hotels, restaurants, and commercial establishments.
Teenagers aged 14 to 18 are banned from working night shifts.
Teens can now work a maximum of 3 hours per day.
The amended rules are effective immediately after the Governor's assent.
The changes aim to protect minors from exploitative work conditions.
