Titan Q1 Net Profit Jumps 63% to ₹1,777 Crore
Titan is a big Indian company that makes jewellery, watches and eyeglasses.
It just told everyone how much money it made in the first three months of its financial year.
Titan made a profit of ₹1,777 crore, which is 63% more than it made a year before.
That is a lot more money!
Most of the profit came from people buying lots of jewellery, especially during the Akshaya Tritiya festival.
Gold prices were steady, which helped people feel good about buying.
The tax on gold went up, and that gave Titan an extra ₹407 crore gain in this quarter.
Watches and eyeglasses also sold well, with both businesses growing by 21%.
Titan opened many new stores in India and in the Gulf region.
Its smaller new businesses, like perfumes and handbags, still lost money, but the company's boss said it was a strong start to the year.
Titan Company's consolidated net profit rose 63% year-on-year to ₹1,777 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, from ₹1,091 crore a year earlier.
Consolidated revenue grew about 40% to ₹20,753 crore (total income, per one report) or ₹20,787 crore (revenue from operations, per another), with jewellery the biggest growth driver.
Profit before tax rose 64% to ₹2,429 crore, but excluding a ₹407 crore one-time gain from higher customs duty on gold, PBT growth was 37%.
Jewellery income (excluding bullion and Digi-gold) rose 43% to ₹18,253 crore; watches rose 21% to ₹1,543 crore and EyeCare rose 21% to ₹289 crore.
Titan added 76 net stores overall — 33 jewellery stores in India, 34 watch stores, seven EyeCare stores and two Tanishq stores in the GCC — while MD Ajoy Chawla called it a 'strong opening' quarter.
Emerging businesses (SKINN, IRTH, Taneira) rose 18% to ₹128 crore with a ₹39 crore loss, and TEAL revenue rose 43% to ₹438 crore.
