IG Plans Drop Gates in Ranchi to Curb Crime and Extortion
The Inspector General (IG) of the South Chotanagpur zone is working to reduce crime.
The IG plans to set up checkpoints, called drop gates, at 20 spots in Ranchi to catch criminals coming and going.
Police are also working with the CRPF to fight against Maoists in the West Singhbhum area.
To help, the police will use a special app to stop cybercriminals.
Also, if people have complaints, the police will try to address them quickly, and provide reports if possible, allowing citizens to question these reports if they need to.
IG Manoj Koushik addresses concerns of cybercrime, extremism, and organized crime in South Chotanagpur.
Drop gates will be set up at around 20 locations in Ranchi to control entry and exit of criminals.
