Cyclone Leaves Millions in Sao Paulo Without Power

Cyclone Leaves Millions in Sao Paulo Without Power

A big storm with very strong winds hit Sao Paulo, a city in Brazil.

The winds were so strong that they knocked down trees and power lines, which caused many people to lose electricity in their homes and businesses.

About 2 million people lost power at the peak of the storm, and even though some power has been restored, around 1.5 million people are still without electricity.

The storm also affected the water supply because the pumps that bring water to people's homes needed electricity to work.

Many flights were canceled at two big airports in Sao Paulo, Congonhas and Guarulhos, because of the storm.

The airports had to cancel many flights on Wednesday and some more on Thursday.

The companies that provide electricity and water are working to fix the problems, but it might take some time.
