India’s Jaishankar Condemns Black Sea Attacks on Seafarers
India’s foreign minister, S Jaishankar, talked on the phone with Ukraine’s foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, about bad things happening to Indian sailors in the Black Sea.
Some ships with Indian crew were hit by missiles and drones, and five sailors died.
Jaishankar said these attacks are totally wrong and that India strongly objects.
He also said India wants the fighting to stop and for everyone to talk instead of fighting.
Ukraine’s minister said the attacks hurt global food and energy supplies and that India should help find peace.

Jaishankar condemned all attacks on Indian seafarers and commercial vessels as absolutely unacceptable.
Five Indian seafarers have died and two are missing after attacks by Russian and Ukrainian forces.
India has summoned Ukrainian and Russian diplomatic heads to protest the attacks and urges dialogue.
Sybiha warned that Russian aggression threatens freedom of navigation, food security, and global energy markets.
