Lost Pages Linked to Henry VIII Aide Found in Brighton

Lost Pages Linked to Henry VIII Aide Found in Brighton

Six very old pages were found in an archive in Brighton.

The pages came from a manuscript connected to an aide of Henry VIII.

People had not noticed them for many years.

They were missed because they were not written on the list describing the contents of their box.

The box had been given to the Sussex Archaeological Society in 1929.

Scholars compared the pages with another part of the manuscript.

That other part is kept at Yale University.

The comparison showed that the newly found pages belonged to the same manuscript.
