JU Ambedkar row: Student's statement recorded by committee
A student at Jadavpur University complained that a teacher told her to tear apart the Constitution and discard it, and also said that studying B.R. Ambedkar's work is not useful.
The university set up a committee to investigate this.
The student said the committee did not do anything until she wrote to a national commission.
The committee has now recorded the student's statement and spoken to the teacher, but it's hard to prove what happened because the conversation was on WhatsApp and not recorded.
The teacher denied the allegations.
A student at Jadavpur University accused a teacher of undermining the Constitution and B.R. Ambedkar.
The university formed a committee to investigate the complaint on December 16.
The student claimed the committee did not act until she wrote to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes.
The committee recorded the student's statement on January 7 and has also spoken to the teacher.
The teacher denied the allegations, and the committee finds it difficult to prove the charges due to the conversation happening over WhatsApp.
