Madhya Pradesh to Introduce Three-Year Rolling Budget
Madhya Pradesh is going to start a new way of making their budget.
Instead of just planning for one year, they will plan for three years at a time.
This is called a rolling budget.
The idea is to make the budget more useful and easier for everyone to understand.
The government asked people for their ideas and got almost 1,000 suggestions.
They also want to spend more money on things like farms, schools, and hospitals to make the state better.
The plan is to make the state's economy grow a lot by the year 2047.
Madhya Pradesh will introduce a three-year rolling budget starting from 2026-27, making it the first state in India to do so.
The budget will include indicative estimates for 2027-28 and 2028-29 along with the 2026-27 budget.
The government received around 945 suggestions from the public and experts to make the budget more effective.
Capital expenditure for 2025-26 is set at Rs 82,513 crore, the highest ever, with a target to increase the state's GSDP to Rs 27.2 lakh crore by 2029 and Rs 250 lakh crore by 2047.
The upcoming budget will prioritize agriculture, farmers, and other sectors like industry, employment, education, health, and good governance.
