Corporate Funding Rebounds in September 2025 Quarter
In the September 2025 quarter, companies in India raised a lot more money than before.
They got this money from different places like their own profits, bank loans, and foreign investments.
This is a big change from the previous quarter where they raised less money.
The main sources of money were the companies' own profits and loans from banks.
The companies are also trying to use less debt and rely more on their own money.
This is good for their financial health.
The next quarter will show if this trend continues.
Corporate fundraising in India grew by 58.1% year-on-year in the September 2025 quarter, reaching ₹7.5 trillion.
Net profits of non-financial companies were the top source of funding, amounting to ₹3 trillion (40% of total funds).
Bank credit surged to ₹2.4 trillion, accounting for 31% of total funds, after a decline in the previous quarter.
Equity issuances declined by 42% year-on-year, while debt securities issuance increased by 42.6%.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) contributed 11% of total funds, with net inflows of ₹0.9 trillion.
