Kit Harington Joins HBO’s Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets Season
Kit Harington has been chosen to play Gilderoy Lockhart in the second season of HBO’s Harry Potter series.
Lockhart is a wizard who tells exaggerated stories about being a hero.
He becomes a teacher at Hogwarts, even though he is not very good at magic.
Nicholas Hoult was originally connected to the role but left the show because of scheduling conflicts.
Hoult is currently working on another movie called Man of Tomorrow.
Harington has already played Lockhart by voicing him in Harry Potter audiobooks.
He said he is excited because he has long been a Harry Potter fan.
