Massive Tiranga Yatra lights up Hyderabad ahead of Independence Day

In Hyderabad, many thousands of people came together to celebrate India's Independence Day by carrying the national flag in a big walk called the Tiranga Yatra.

They walked along a beautiful road called Tank Bund, which was decorated in the flag's colors of saffron, white and green.

The walk happened on August 14, the day before India's 80th Independence Day.

Important leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party, like ministers and other officials, joined the walk with the people.

The walk started with prayers at a temple called Sri Kanakadurga Ammavari Temple in Basheerbagh.

The flag was carried from a statue of B R Ambedkar to a statue of Swami Vivekananda.

The leaders asked everyone to put up the national flag at their homes and to respect it.

They also told people to stay united and love their country no matter their differences.
