Maharashtra to establish palliative care centers in every district

The Maharashtra state health department is planning to set up special care centers in every district to help people with serious and long-term illnesses.

These centers will not only provide medical treatment but also help manage pain, offer emotional support, and improve the quality of life for patients.

The care teams will include doctors, nurses, and counsellors who will provide support to both patients and their families.

For those who cannot visit the centers, home-based care services will also be available.

This initiative aims to reduce suffering, improve well-being, and ease the burden on families.
