Ambuja Neotia plans ₹2,200-crore expansion across eastern healthcare

Ambuja Neotia wants to build eight new healthcare facilities in eastern India.

The projects are expected to cost about ₹2,200 crore.

They would add around 1,800 hospital beds.

The group currently operates four facilities with about 700 beds.

Its total capacity could therefore reach about 2,500 beds.

Most of the new beds will be in multispeciality hospitals, while many others will support mothers and children.

A new 120-bed facility is planned in Howrah by around 2029.

Another mother-and-child hospital is being built in Durgapur with Amit Metaliks.

The group may use partners that provide land or buildings for some projects to reduce its own spending.
