Manipur Petrol Dealers Threaten Shutdown Over Extortion

Manipur Petrol Dealers Threaten Shutdown Over Extortion

Petrol pump dealers in Manipur are very upset because they are being threatened and asked for money by militant groups.

They told the governor about this problem on December 10, but nothing has been done to help them.

The dealers say they have to sell fuel at prices set by the government, so they can't raise prices to pay the militants.

If the government doesn't do something by December 28, the dealers might have to close their pumps.

This is a big problem because Manipur has been under special government control since February after some violent fights between different groups in the area.
