Zee Seeks Contempt Action Against JioStar Over Copyright Claims

Zee Entertainment and JioStar are arguing about copyrighted music and songs.

Zee says JioStar kept using the material after a court ordered it to stop.

Zee has asked the Delhi High Court to punish JioStar for allegedly disobeying that order.

Zee pointed to six examples that it says happened between May and July.

The original lawsuit sought $3 million over 50 alleged copyright violations.

JioStar’s lawyers previously said any remaining uses were unintentional.

JioStar also said it had removed a large amount of Zee content after licensing agreements ended.

The court has asked JioStar to respond and will hear the case again in December.
