Magnitude 4.9 Chamoli Earthquake Sends Tremors Across Delhi-NCR
A 4.9-magnitude earthquake happened in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, on Tuesday night.
It occurred about 13 kilometres below the ground.
People felt the shaking in Delhi-NCR and other nearby areas.
Some people went outside after noticing the tremors.

Some residents left their homes after feeling the shaking; reports said it lasted about five to six seconds in Rudraprayag.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage; a separate magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Assam’s Nagaon district earlier that day.
