NSE IPO Nears After SEBI Settlement, Q1 Profits Rise
The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has finished its legal problems with the securities regulator, SEBI.
SEBI said the money the NSE owes is already counted in its books, and it won’t hurt the exchange’s daily work.
NSE made more money in its first quarter of 2027, up 7% from last year.
Because the problems are solved, NSE is planning to sell shares to the public.
It hopes to raise about 28 to 30 thousand crore rupees by selling 14.89 crore shares.
People can buy NSE shares on the market for about 1,950 to 2,000 rupees each, giving the company a value of about 4.85 to 4.95 lakh crore rupees.
SEBI accepted NSE’s revised settlement terms, clearing co‑location and dark‑fibre cases.
NSE reported a 7% YoY increase in Q1 net profit to Rs 3,120 crore.
NSE expects IPO approval by mid‑August and listing by September 2026.
The IPO will be an offer‑for‑sale of up to 14.89 crore shares, raising ~Rs 28‑30k crore.
Unlisted NSE shares trade around Rs 1,950‑2,000, valuing the company at ~Rs 4.85‑4.95 lakh crore.
