Abhijeet Dipke Says Cockroach Janta Party Will Be Pressure Group
A group called the Cockroach Janta Party is led by a man named Abhijeet Dipke.
They announced that they will not become a regular political party that runs in elections.
Instead, they will act as a pressure group.
A pressure group is a team of people who ask the government to change things without joining the government.
They can do this by holding protests, talking to leaders, and running media campaigns.
The group became famous after students protested for 37 days in Delhi.
Their protest helped get the education minister to resign because of an exam paper leak.
The leader says India needs a public, people-led movement.
He also asked the Prime Minister to show his degree.
Famous pressure groups around the world include Greenpeace and Amnesty International.
Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), announced on August 5, 2026 that the group will function strictly as a political pressure group.
The announcement was made to reporters ahead of a core committee meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
Dipke said India needs a public, people-led movement rather than entry into mainstream electoral politics.
The decision follows the CJP's 37-day student protest at Jantar Mantar, which forced the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.
Dipke said he is ready to show documents related to his education loan and scholarship letter, and challenged Narendra Modi to show his degree.
