India Surpasses 100 GW Solar PV Manufacturing Capacity
India has made a big leap in making solar panels!
The country now has the ability to make 100 GW of solar panels, a big jump from just 2.3 GW in 2014.
This happened because of the government's plan to help make solar panels in India, which includes giving money to companies that do it well.
This helps India make its own solar panels and move towards using more clean energy.
Many companies are involved, using advanced technology.
This is good for India and helps the world by reducing the use of fuels that cause pollution.
India's solar PV module manufacturing capacity reached 100 GW under ALMM.
The achievement marks a significant increase from 2.3 GW in 2014.
Minister Pralhad Joshi credited the milestone to PM Modi's vision and PLI Scheme.
The PLI Scheme and other initiatives aim to make India self-reliant in solar PV manufacturing.
The expansion involves both established and new manufacturers adopting high-efficiency technologies.
