Punjab CM Launches Easy Registry Initiative
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, started a new system called 'Easy Registry' to make registering property easier.
Before, people had to go to a specific office for their property's location, which was time-consuming and sometimes involved corruption.
Now, any office in the district can register properties anywhere in that district.
People can also draft sale deeds online or at service centers for a small fee.
All documents can be submitted online in just 48 hours.
If there are any problems, the Deputy Commissioner will check them.
People will get updates on their registration through WhatsApp, and if someone asks for a bribe, they can report it directly.
This new system aims to make everything faster, simpler, and more transparent.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann launched the 'Easy Registry' initiative on November 27, 2023, in Fatehgarh Sahib.
The initiative allows property registration at any Sub-Registrar office within the district, eliminating the need to visit the specific office for the property's location.
Citizens can draft sale deeds online or through 'Sewa Kendras' for a fee of Rs 500.
Complete online submission of documents is possible within 48 hours, with objections referred to the Deputy Commissioner for verification.
Citizens will receive updates about their registration process via WhatsApp and can lodge complaints directly if faced with bribery.
