IISc’s FSID Appoints CEO, Strengthens Research and Innovation Focus

The Indian Institute of Science has changed how its research foundation is led.

Omprakash Subbarao is now the foundation’s chief executive officer.

He will manage its daily work and relationships outside the organisation.

Professor Suryasarthy Bose will supervise the foundation for IISc.

The foundation helps turn scientific ideas into useful technologies.

It also supports new technology companies through incubation.

Its Innovation Hub gives companies and startups laboratories and workspaces.

These projects let students and researchers work on real-world technology challenges.
